Get your tissues and your snacks ready, because Hulu’s April lineup is officially a roller coaster of emotions. The streamer just dropped its schedule for April , and fans are already losing it over a mix of bittersweet endings and laugh-out-loud comedy.
The biggest buzz on X (formerly Twitter) is undoubtedly the return of The Handmaid’s Tale. After years of harrowing escapes and “Blessed be the fight,” the sixth and final season is set to premiere on April . Fans have been waiting for what feels like an eternity to see how June Osborne’s journey concludes, and the anticipation is reaching a fever pitch.
“I am not emotionally prepared for the end of Gilead,” one fan wrote on TikTok, echoing the sentiments of thousands who have followed the Emmy-winning series since .
But it’s not all heavy drama this month. Jennifer Lawrence is officially bringing her “raunchy” side to the platform. On April , the hit No Hard Feelings makes its debut on the streamer.
In the film, Lawrence plays a woman hired by wealthy parents to “date” their socially awkward son before he heads to college. It’s the kind of bold, R-rated humor that reminded everyone why J.Law is the queen of the relatable-yet-chaotic protagonist.
If you’re looking for a deep dive into cinema history, April is basically a holiday. Hulu is loading up on heavy hitters like the mind-bending Arrival starring Amy Adams, and the classic The Wolf of Wall Street.
Seeing Leonardo DiCaprio’s Jordan Belfort transition from an entry-level broker to a hedonistic empire-builder is the perfect weekend binge. As the film’s synopsis reminds us, it’s a “brew of sex, drugs and thrills” that never gets old.
Nostalgia lovers are also winning big this month. The Karate Kid trilogy is dropping in its entirety, alongside family favorites like Mrs. Doubtfire and Jumanji. Whether you want to “wax on, wax off” or hide from a stampede of rhinos, the April drop has you covered.
For the true-crime obsessed and reality TV junkies, the schedule is packed. We’re getting more Fixer Upper (Season ) on April and the third season of The Curious Case of Natalia Grace on April . Plus, for those who can’t get enough of Leah Remini’s fearless reporting, the first two seasons of Scientology and the Aftermath arrive on April .
Closing out the month, Wes Anderson fans can rejoice on April . A massive collection of his quirky classics, including The Royal Tenenbaums, Fantastic Mr. Fox, and The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou, will be available for your aesthetic viewing pleasure.
