This Breakout Dutton Ranch Character’s Life Will Change Forever In Season 2

Warning: SPOILERS For Dutton Ranch Season 1's Finale – "El Padrino"Dutton Ranch season 1's finale saw several lives end, while the Yellowstone prequel's breakout character had her life altered. Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) defended the Dutton Ranch from an attack by Mexican drug kingpin Mariano Reyes (Raoul Max Trujillo).

As Beth and Rip deal with the consequences of learning that Beulah Jackson (Annette Bening) has kept the 10-Petals Ranch afloat by smuggling drugs for fifteen years, Oreana Lynn Jackson (Natalie Alyn Lind) lost her father in Dutton Ranch season 1's finale. Rob-Will Jackson (Jai Courtney) was murdered by a mysterious assailant, an ignoble end for one of the most unlikable people in Rio Paloma.

As Natalie Alyn Lind promised, Dutton Ranch season 1's conclusion contained several twists that changed the course of its characters' lives. Only in her mid-20s, Lind is already a veteran of movies and TV after roles in Gotham, The Gifted, and Big Sky. Still, her fame is skyrocketing, thanks to being one of the most popular new faces in Taylor Sheridan's expanding Yellowstone universe.

Oreana's life trajectory in Dutton Ranch is the opposite of Natalie Alyn Lind's, however, as the future of the Jackson family received unwelcome news that changed the course of her life.

Oreana Is Pregnant (Is Carter The Father?)

This Breakout Dutton Ranch Character's Life Will Change Forever In Season 2

Oreana Lynn Jackson found out that she is pregnant in Dutton Ranch season 1's finale. Presumably, Carter (Finn Little) is the father, as Oreana eagerly had sex with Beth and Rip's adopted son in Dutton Ranch episode 3. Unless Oreana had other hookups off-screen, 19-year-old Carter is her baby daddy.

Rather than tell Carter, Oreana instead suggested she and her younger beau leave Rio Paloma together. Oreana was packing for her open-ended trip when she had one last father-daughter convo with Rob-Will before he was shot to death moments later. There will be no running off with Carter when Dutton Ranch returns for season 2.

At the end of Dutton Ranch season 1, Oreana doesn't yet know that Carter was kidnapped by Mariano's men. Beth and Rip's sole mission when Dutton Ranch season 2 begins is to save their son. Just as she didn't tell Carter, no one yet knows that Oreana is pregnant, and that Carter is likely the father.

Leaving Rio Paloma is likely no longer an option for Oreana after Rob-Will's death. Oreana Lynn is now next in line to inherit the 10-Petals Ranch. Unlike her father, Oreana doesn't want the job, but she may be best qualified for it.

Dutton Ranch has only touched upon the fact that Oreana graduated from Texas A&M University, and the family's young rebel may be the most capable Jackson.

Oreana’s Dutton Ranch Pregnancy Calls Back To Yellowstone’s Past

Oreana Jackson is not the first Yellowstone character to get pregnant. In 1923, Elizabeth Stafford (Michelle Randolph) was with child, but she returned to Boston rather than live in Montana after her husband, Jack Dutton (Darren Mann), died. Elizabeth's ordeal reflected the dangers of pregnancy a century ago.

Of course, teenage Beth Dutton (Kylie Rogers) got pregnant in Yellowstone. Beth turned to her brother, Jamie (Dalton Baker), for help, but he betrayed her at the Native American clinic and had Beth sterilized. This was the source of Beth's hatred towards Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley), which culminated in Beth and Rip killing the Attorney General of Montana.

Oreana is likely aware that her grandmother, Beulah, was pregnant with Rob-Will when she was 16. What Oreana doesn't know is that Mama B killed Rob-Will's father, Luke (Cameron Cowperthwaite), because he raped her. Beulah has always claimed that Rob-Will's father died in a flood, as she told Beth in Dutton Ranch episode 6.

Many questions surround Oreana's pregnancy in Dutton Ranch season 2, including whether she will have an abortion or try to have a family with Carter (if he survives his abduction). In the course of an hour, Dutton Ranch season 1's finale completely changed Oreana's life, and things will never be the same for her.
