The Young and the Restless Monday, August 31 Update: Victor Says Stay Away from Kyle, Warns Victoria About Trouble

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, August 31, indicate that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will have some good advice for Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).

Although Victor won’t have all the facts, he’ll still give Victoria a warning that she should really listen to.

Victoria was hoping to keep the lid on her Vibrante revival plans a bit longer, but nothing gets by Victor for long.

When Victor confesses that he already knows what Victoria’s up to regarding Vibrante, she’ll deliver a proposal and get his blessing.

That said, Victor will have concerns about the potential Abbott trouble that could result from a cosmetics battle, so he’ll urge Victoria to keep her distance from Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters).

At the coffeehouse, Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) won’t be thrilled over having to serve Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) her macchiato and will barely pay any attention to her.

Kyle, on the other hand, will refuse to leave Audra alone once she gets news on her phone regarding Vibrante’s resurrection.

There’ll be an email about Victoria wanting to purchase some patents that Audra ended up with.

Audra will find it odd when Kyle starts hyping up Victoria and will drop a hint about Victoria being a “naughty girl” when she appears.

Victoria will seem rattled, but she’ll settle down when she learns Audra is just pushing her buttons regarding Vibrante.

Audra will hope Victoria is prepared to pay handsomely for the patents and will suggest that her own vision for the company was superior.

With Victoria at the helm, Audra will predict Vibrante is going to crash and burn.

After Audra exits, Y&R spoilers say Kyle and Victoria will stare at each other while thinking about their recent office romp.

It’ll be obvious that there’s still some crackling chemistry between them along with the desire for a repeat performance.

Once Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) gives Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) a present ahead of him rejoining the hospital, they’ll talk about his surgery happening the next day.

Nate will be a little anxious about it, so Stephanie will agree to hang out with him for a bit.

Devon Winters (Bryton James) will run into the pair at the park café, where he’ll clearly realize how close Stephanie and Nate have become.

Next, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will come home from an ice cream run since she promised the grandkids a party.

Victor will mention that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) seems awfully close to the woman he saved and will fear Marie Kirkland (Jade Harlow) could derail his recovery.

At Nick’s rehab clinic, he’ll blast Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and demand to know why she’s there.

Phyllis will acknowledge that their last conversation was harsh and that she didn’t like how they left things between them.

Nick will remain irate despite Phyllis’ insistence that she cares about him.

Phyllis will embrace Nick and try to offer support, but he’ll know this must be about Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) since Victor and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) texted him.

Phyllis will ultimately admit she fears this could be a vigilante justice situation.

Nick won’t mind if Matt’s out of the picture and will think it’s a mistake for Phyllis to trust him.

It’ll leave Nick worried that Phyllis could eventually see the real Matt one day once she’s alone with him.

Phyllis will keep defending Matt as a changed man until Marie comes along and interrupts.

After Marie thanks Nick for talking her off the ledge, Phyllis will think that sounds serious.

Nick will downplay his actions and introduce Marie to Phyllis, who’ll definitely be suspicious of the new woman in his life.

That said, Phyllis will see a new angle to work after this Marie meeting.

It’ll lead to Phyllis suggesting that Matt is just looking for a new beginning like Marie.

Nick won’t think it’s the same with Matt and will continue to deliver warnings about Phyllis seeing him for who he really is sooner or later.

Finally, Matt will arrive to see a locked-up Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk), who won’t be surprised that he’s decided to visit.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Matt will have to offer up an explanation for his visit soon, so don’t miss what he’ll tell Patty.
