There are two Jessica Alba movies seared into my brain. The first is Awake, which introduced a nightmare and fear I was previously blissfully unaware of: the idea of being conscious but paralyzed from unsuccessful anesthesia. The second is Fantastic Four—the combination of her olive undertones with blonde hair inspired my own experimentation decades later. Her step back from the movie industry to focus on the Honest Company means her movies haven’t traumatized me in years, but she’s still a source of beauty inspiration. Most recently, this came to fruition via the discovery of a new product: Innersense’s Pure Harmony Hairbath Shampoo.
Innersense is a clean hair care brand with a tight curation of products that address a slew of the most common hair concerns through a holistic approach. Alba used the brand’s hero product, the Pure Harmony Shampoo, to prep for the 2026 Vanity Fair Oscars after party. If you believe the ingredients and hundreds of pleased shopper reviews, it’s the reason (or at least a major contributor) to her silky and thick dark caramel strands.
The Innersense shampoo is formulated specially for fine to medium hair with shea butter, avocado oil, quinoa, and rice extract. Rice is a major player in the hair care scene, thanks to the way it improves hair’s flexibility, thus preventing split ends, breakage, and creating an environment that fosters growth. The other ingredients, though more under the radar, penetrate the follicle and hair shaft where they’re able to really get to work on repairing damage, delivering hydration, reducing frizz, enhancing thickness, and increasing fullness.
That is what the science says, and reviews back it up. One shopper wrote, “[Innersense’s Pure Harmony Hairbath Shampoo] saved my hair…It was falling out like crazy, and [was] so dry and brittle. I started using this…and right away, I noticed my hair was softer, shinier, smoother, and I’ve got new hair growing back.” A shopper on the brand’s website said, “my hair feels thicker and smoother… I have [received] several compliments on how healthy my hair looks.”
