Though the internet is currently awash in 1990s minimalism thanks to one Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, it appears there is also a case to be made for the revival of 1970s style—at least according to Jessica Alba. The Trigger Warning star took to Instagram on Wednesday, March 4 with full-on disco curls and a zebra-print halter dress in what was a rather dramatic departure from her signature loose waves and laid-back, California-cool style.
“A bit of regularly scheduled programming 💫 🎲 🌹,” Alba wrote in her accompanying caption.
The Honest Company founder showed off her curly, middle-parted hair in the very first image of her photo dump, which she paired with similarly ’70s-inspired hoop earrings and a mauve lip. In the next photo, her backless halter-neck gown with its retro zebra pattern was the star of the show. The floor-length gown also featured a keyhole cutout.
Elsewhere in the Instagram carousel, Alba posed for a selfie with a margarita in hand, smiled alongside two of her kids, and shared two self-help mantras for March courtesy of We The Urban.
Fans of the Barely Lethal actress will know that Alba just recently traveled to Milan with her youngest daughter Haven, who turned 14 last August. The lookalike duo spent two days in the Italian city.
“48 hours in Milan with my baby girl 💗,” Alba later wrote in a caption accompanying a photo dump of the brief getaway. “A blur of the yummiest food, even better company, and the kind of fashion and culture this city does best 🤌🏽.”
