Celebrated actress and host Jessica Alba is sharing some personal information about the reality of her marriage prior to her split with Cash Warren. Appearing on Katherine Schwarzenegger‘s BDA Baby podcast, the Honest Renovations co-creator and star revealed the status of her relationship prior to their news-making divorce.
“I would say it’s all rosy for two-and-a-half years. But then after that, you become roommates,” Alba revealed. “You’re just going through the motions, the responsibilities. It’s a lot of like checking the boxes.” Between admitting that Warren received the short end of the stick behind their children and her career, Alba continued to divulge some striking information. “We used to do every Wednesday we’re going to do date night, or every week we’re gonna set aside a time—we’re gonna at least do date night, right? We won’t have our phones and we’ll just like talk. But then that stopped because whatever, and so we’re just not consistent.”
Jessica Alba’s Separation Was Almost Predicted

The interview with Schwarzenegger from April 2024 has recently resurfaced, revealing crucial facts regarding the fate of the couple’s relationship. In the chat, Alba admitted there was room for improvement. “We have, obviously, the friendship, the comfort of like, ‘You’re not going anywhere. And so, sometimes you don’t treat those people the best. You don’t consider their feelings in the way that you would consider other people’s feelings. So that is something that I think is a constant one to work on.” Jessica Alba and Cash Warren have officially separated, with Alba filing for divorce after 16 years of marriage just days ago. With “irreconcilable differences” cited, the paperwork noted the date of separation as December 27, 2024.
It’s been reported that Warren has moved out of the former couple’s home and into his own bachelor pad. While the separation may have been a shock to many, its assumed that the couple’s divorce proceedings will be amicable. The actress has previously gone on record on her social media, writing, “I’ve been on a journey of self-realization and transformation for years – both as an individual and in partnership with Cash. I’m proud of how we’ve grown as a couple and in our marriage over the last 20 years, and it’s now time for us to embark on a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals.” Jessica Alba and her best friend and co-creator Lizzy Mathis will embark on the third season of their series Honest Renovations on Roku.
