Jessica Alba and Honor’s Sweet Matching Tattoos: A Tribute Before College

Jessica Alba Gets Matching Wrist Tattoos with 18-Year-Old Daughter Honor Before She Heads to College

Jessica Alba has some new ink — and it has a sweet connection to her older daughter.

In July, tattoo artist Winterstone, also known as Daniel Winter, shared a series of photos on his Instagram account after he tattooed the actress, 45, and her 18-year-old daughter Honor. In one picture, Alba and Honor could be seen holding hands as they showed off their matching wrist tattoos.

The mother-daughter duo opted for an eye design with an infinity symbol below it. The top of the eye had several lines coming out of it. Alba had hers tattooed on her forearm by her wrist, while her daughter had hers done on her inner wrist.

“Matching tattoos with her daughter! @jessicaalba,” Winterstone captioned the post. “What a way to show love with an unforgettable experience! A memory they will share forever!”

Earlier this month, Alba spoke with PEOPLE about her daughter Honor leaving the nest and heading to college. The mom of three said it was an “intense” milestone that she doesn’t think she can “prepare for.”

“It hasn’t really hit me personally, but I think for any parent, just that milestone, it’s intense,” Alba said. “I don’t think you can prepare for it. You just have to tackle it when it happens.”

Alba shares her three kids — Honor, Haven, 15, and Hayes, 8 — with ex-husband Cash Warren.

This past May, Warren shared a heartfelt post on Instagram from his daughter Honor’s high school graduation. The proud dad included a lengthy message alongside a sweet photo of Warren with all three of his kids at the ceremony. Alba was not pictured in the photo.

“Graduation Day!! Honor, you were born for this moment. You have officially outgrown the high school pond, and you’re ready to swim in deeper waters. I can’t think of anyone more prepared for this next phase of life than you,” began Warren.

“You have no idea how special it is for me to watch you follow my path to Yale,” Warren continued later in his lengthy caption. “On the brink of 18, you have already created a new legacy for our family. I have no idea what your future holds, but I cannot wait to watch the movie unfold. I’m buying my popcorn now, and I’ll be front row center cheering you on.”

“Always remember, I am your safety net. I will always be here to catch you. So take risks. Make mistakes. Learn from them. Keep climbing. Keep blazing trails. Keep aiming for the stars. There is no ceiling for you…among the clouds in the sky is where you are meant to soar,” concluded Warren. “I love you with every ounce of my being. Congratulations, kiddo. You did it!!! Love, Dad.”

That same month, Honor was her mother’s date to a dinner celebrating the joint capsule collection between Paul Smith and Gabriela Hearst held at the Chateau Marmont. Alba shared photos from the night on Instagram, giving a glimpse of her and Honor’s coordinating outfits.

Alba also gave a before-and-after look at their outfits in a transitional video set to The Walters’ “I Love You So” posted on TikTok. “When your baby is your bestie 🥹 I love you sooooo, Honorcita 💗🫶🏽💫,” she captioned the video. The clip showed the two hugging one another and showing off their outfits.
