Get Fit with Jennifer Aniston: Peek Inside Her Energizing Workout Playlist!

Jennifer Aniston’s workouts are made complete thanks to some carefully curated music choices.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the actress, 57, reveals the artists and genres she loves to listen to when breaking a sweat.

“I definitely go through different phases,” Aniston – who continues her ongoing partnership with Pvolve for its new “Express Series” — explains.

“I’m in a Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters and Nirvana phase right now,” she adds. “Those are all really great.”

According to Aniston, “Music is everything, so if a bad song comes on, I’ll say, ‘Ooh, can we skip it? It’s not working.’ “

One specific genre The Morning Show star really enjoys listening to during her workouts is music from the 1980s. “I get Duran Duran and all those guys going,” she says.

As for who helps perfect her musical selections, Aniston says Dani Coleman, her personal trainer and VP of Training at Pvolve, is her go-to.

“I’m not savvy that way, to be honest,” she says. “Dani, she does curate mine. She makes it easy.”

Aniston’s latest Pvolve series — titled Jen’s Express Series: Arms & Abs — highlights some of the Friends alum’s favorite workouts to do in under 15 minutes, with a focus on upper-body sculpting and deep core strength.

“I’m excited to get this series out there because this is something that Dani and I came up with, because my schedule is all over the place, as is everyone’s, because we all lead very busy lives,” Aniston tells PEOPLE. “So we came up with this series of 15-minute exercises and workouts … that you can do while you’re on a Zoom or while you’re watching TV.”

“I’m always excited to keep spreading the word of Pvolve, because it’s changed my life so much in terms of my physical body and health,” adds the Emmy, Golden Globe and Actor Awards-winner. “I’m able to be consistent, and it’s now incorporated into my day, just like drinking water, and having breakfast, lunch and dinner.”

Jen’s Express Series includes six new, on-demand workouts led by Coleman that feature a mix of arm-focused and core-focused sessions. “The collection underscores that even short, consistent sessions can deliver real, lasting results,” Pvolve says.
