Roguish lawyer Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) is one of the cornerstones of Fairmont Crest on Beyond the Gates. Now that his health is flagging (thanks to his second wife, which he doesn’t know yet!), Bill may just be re-evaluating his life choices… But, even as fans eagerly await what comes next in his storyline, Durrett is reflecting on the path that led him to becoming Bill (and a Daytime Emmy nominee!).

Durrett told Cornelius Hocker and NAACP Plus in a YouTube interview:
I have to say, three years ago, you wouldn’t have been able to tell me that I would be a soap opera star; that just wasn’t my trajectory. And my agent called and said, ‘Hey, do you want to do this?’ I said, ‘Yeah, let’s just check it out.’ And it’s been… I won’t say overwhelming, but the response has been very abundant. You know, people are really enjoying it.
Hocker shared what he hopes and doesn’t hope to see coming up (for example, he’s not shipping Bill and ex-wife Dani [Karla Mosley] getting back together). Does Durrett see a possibility for the model and the lawyer to officially reunite?
He did tease that “there’s more coming,” too, adding:

But I know there’s going to be a reconvening of sorts, if you will. I’m not saying that that’s they’re going to get back together, but a unity.
What does it feel like to be a Daytime Emmy nominee? Durrett revealed:
An Emmy is the highest honor in television and as much hard work as I put in and people who’ve disparaged me and told me be realistic, don’t get your hopes up too high, you know, that’s just a dream, you know, that only can happen for certain people, people who were in the same position as I was, moved out to L.A. chasing that dream and some gave up and I never did. And all of the history of my career, everything that I’ve done up to this point, it’s all started to flood back and it’s like pieces to the puzzle.
