Jessica Alba is celebrating the special bond she shares with her two daughters, Honor and Haven. On September 25, the actress marked National Daughters Day with a heartfelt Instagram carousel filled with nostalgic photos from different stages of her girls’ childhoods.
One of the throwback images showed Alba cuddling baby Honor in bed. Another featured the actress holding a young Haven on her lap while the pair smiled together during a boat trip. A third photo captured Alba with both daughters when they were younger, posing together on the beach in matching bikinis.
“Happy #NationalDaughtersDay to my babies – my whole heart, my best friends, my teachers, my everything,” Alba wrote alongside the memories. She also described motherhood as the greatest blessing of her life and thanked her daughters for their unconditional love.
Alba welcomed Honor in 2008 with her former husband, Cash Warren. Three years later, the couple welcomed their second daughter, Haven, in 2011.
The actress has previously spoken about how surprised she was by Haven’s appearance. While she expected her second child to resemble Honor, Haven was born with red hair and looked noticeably different from her older sister.
“I really only expected my child to look like Honor,” Alba once told People, explaining that Haven’s different appearance came as a pleasant surprise to her.
Alba and Warren also share a son, Hayes, who was born in 2017. The former couple separated earlier this year after 16 years of marriage, and Alba has since entered a new chapter of her personal life with actor Danny Ramirez.
Even amid those changes, her relationship with her daughters has remained a major focus. Alba has frequently shared meaningful moments with Honor and Haven throughout the year.
In July, she posted photos from a trip with Honor, giving fans a glimpse into their mother-daughter travels. The following month, she celebrated Haven’s 14th birthday with another collection of family memories.
Then, in September, Alba shared another sweet image of both girls kissing their mom on the cheek, once again highlighting their close relationship.
