Jessica Alba Opens Up About the Emotional Impact of Her Daughter Leaving

The Fantastic Four actress, 45, opened up about the emotions surrounding her eldest daughter Honor Warren, 18, leaving home for the first time.

“It hasn’t really hit me personally, but I think for any parent, just that milestone, it’s intense,” Alba told People.

The mom of three admitted there isn’t much she can do to prepare herself for such a major transition.

“I don’t think you can prepare for it,” she said. “You just have to tackle it when it happens.”

Honor is set to attend Yale University this fall, following in the footsteps of her father, Cash Warren, who graduated from the Ivy League school in 2001.

Honor graduated from high school in May, with both of her parents celebrating the milestone.

Cash, 47, shared an emotional tribute to his eldest daughter at the time, expressing his excitement over her decision to attend his alma mater.

“You have no idea how special it is for me to watch you follow my path to Yale,” he wrote.

The producer encouraged Honor to take risks, make mistakes and continue challenging herself as she enters the next phase of her life.

With Honor preparing to leave home, the mother-daughter duo has been making memories together.

In July, Jessica and Honor commemorated their bond by getting matching tattoos from celebrity tattoo artist Daniel Winter, also known as Winterstone.

The pair chose an eye design with an infinity symbol underneath, with Jessica getting hers near her wrist and Honor opting for the inside of her wrist.

Daniel described the tattoos as an “unforgettable experience” the two would be able to share forever.

Jessica has also affectionately referred to Honor as her “bestie.”

In May, Honor accompanied her mom to a fashion dinner at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, where the pair coordinated their looks and posed together for photos.
