Vernon stands strong beside Anita while Leslie considers an offer
It isn’t like Anita hasn’t been through enough on Beyond the Gates, but now her voice has also been affected by her chemo. The effect on her voice forced her to decline the Articulettes when they asked her to be a part of the Jazz Fest. She has been working really hard to ensure that she can get back to the level that her voice was previously.
However, it has proven a much more difficult endeavor than she initially assumed. Nonetheless, her all-time supporter, her husband, continues to offer unshakable support. So, they deal with this difficulty together as well. While Anita works on helping her vocal cords recover, Leslie is set to receive a very surprising offer, and speculations suggest that this offer could be something related to the position that Anita rejected.
Deanna is haunted by her grief
For weeks now, Deanna’s dead father has been appearing to her on Beyond the Gates and trying to push her into getting revenge for his death. This pressure has been overpowering her, and adding it to the rest of her responsibilities, Deanna has been struggling.
Spoilers for the upcoming episode reveal that her grief will continue to haunt her, especially as Doug returns to push her to get payback. The episode is also set to find Joey comforting Vanessa. So, there is a chance that Deanna could lose her cool, and Vanessa will be left extremely emotional and look to Joey for support.
Smitty’s suspicions start to spiral
Smitty is one of the biggest connections to the plasma ring case on Beyond the Gates, considering he was the one who reported on it and blew it open. However, he was also the last person to talk to Lia and ask her how she was. So, he would know better than anyone if Lia was in a place where she could commit suicide and take her own life instead of serving her sentence.
His suspicions about Lia’s death being related to the Impaler have left him spiralling because that could mean that he was a target as well. So, it will be interesting to see how Smitty deals with this knowledge and the panic spiral that accompanies it.
