EastEnders’ Jack Branning has discovered a devastating secret about his daughter Amy Mitchell, as a huge truth is revealed. This week, teen Amy met up with suspended detective Craig Ingram for a drink, as the pair continue to grow dangerously close.
Craig bought Amy double measures of alcohol without her knowledge to get her drunk, and later the pair went to a quiet area and shared a shocking kiss.
In today’s episode, Craig suddenly pulled away from the kiss and told Amy to forget what happened, before leaving her standing confused.

Amy returned home upset, but when Jack came back from the hospital, he quickly realised that his daughter had been drinking. His suspicions then grew when he spotted a text from Craig on Amy’s phone.
While Amy made out that she had a few drinks and Craig found her, taking her number to make sure she got home okay, Jack still wasn’t happy and he headed to get answers for himself.
Jack found Craig in the café and confronted him about texting Amy. He demanded the truth, so Craig decided to reveal the other major secret and told him that Amy is the person who attacked Joel.
Craig explained that Amy previously told him about his crime and he had been helping her through it, but Jack was furious that he had been kept out of the loop in this situation.
Jack then returned home and told Amy he knew the truth about Joel. Amy tried to explain why she hit Joel, but Jack reminded her that she had committed attempted murder and vowed to his daughter that she was going to face consequences.
But Amy pleaded with her dad that she can’t go to prison, and Jack later told Craig that he couldn’t bring himself to hand her in. Craig reasoned that you sometimes have to break the rules to do the right thing and agreed to keep quiet about Amy.
However, Craig used Jack’s misconduct with tracking down Darnell as leverage and secured a character reference from his colleague ahead of his disciplinary hearing.
Amy and Craig later met up to debrief on the day’s events, and Craig admitted that he can’t stop thinking about her. The pair kissed again and decided to be more careful about their illicit relationship.
But will someone discover that Craig is taking advantage of vulnerable Amy?
